03How We Use Your Personal Data

  • To register and administer your account, verify your identity, and provide access to the client portal.
  • To process your file service requests, deliver calibration files, and credit or debit your wallet balance accordingly.
  • To handle payments securely through our payment provider and to issue invoices for your purchases.
  • To respond to your support tickets, quote requests, and other communications, and to provide technical assistance for your projects.
  • To send you essential service notifications, such as status updates on your requests and replies from our team. These operational messages are always sent and cannot be opted out of.

04Legal Basis for Processing

  • We process your personal data under the following legal bases as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
  • Performance of a contract: processing your account, orders, and communications is necessary to deliver the services you have requested.
  • Legal obligation: we retain certain billing and tax records as required by applicable law.
  • Legitimate interests: we use technical and usage data to secure the platform and improve our services, provided this does not override your rights and freedoms.
  • Consent: where we rely on consent (for example, for optional marketing communications), you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

05Data Sharing & Recipients

  • We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the categories of recipients described below, and only to the extent necessary.
  • Payment processor: our payment provider handles checkout and card transactions under its own privacy and security standards. We do not store your full card details.
  • Cloud and hosting providers: the platform infrastructure that hosts your account data and uploaded files, operating under data-processing agreements compliant with the GDPR.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RazTech, our clients, or others.
  • All processors and recipients are bound by confidentiality obligations and process your data only on our instructions, except where independently required by law.

06International Data Transfers

  • Your personal data may be processed in countries outside the European Economic Area that have different data protection standards.
  • Where this occurs, we ensure an adequate level of protection through appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
  • If you require a copy of the safeguards we rely on, you may request it using the contact details in Article 1.

07Data Retention & Storage

  • We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
  • Account data is kept for the lifetime of your account. When you request account deletion, we remove or anonymise your personal data, except where retention is legally required.
  • Order, invoice, and billing records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law, typically up to seven (7) years.
  • Uploaded ECU files and delivered calibration files are stored for thirty (30) days from delivery, after which they are automatically removed from active storage unless retained for support purposes.
  • Support tickets and communication records are retained for a reasonable period to resolve disputes and improve service quality.

08Data Security

  • We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, destruction, or disclosure.
  • These measures include encrypted data transmission, access controls limited to authorised personnel, and regular security reviews of the platform.
  • Uploaded files are stored in private storage and made available only through time-limited signed links to the account owner and authorised administrators.
  • Despite our efforts, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority of any personal data breach where required by law.
